Policy Regarding the Use of Lockers

Each student is assigned a locker. This locker is theirs to use and no other student is to use or open it at any time without permission. Students are never put things of great value in an unlocked locker.

The cleanliness of a locker is the student’s responsibility. It should be kept neat and orderly. No papers should be sticking out around the doors. Students are to make certain the locker door is closed properly each time. If a locker is kept neat and orderly, there will be no need to slam the door or kick it shut. The damage to locker locks come from locking doors before they are closed. Please close the door properly and then lock your locker. If the locker is damaged, the student will be responsible for the cost of the repairs.

Students cannot write on the lockers for any reason. Hanging posters is accepted as long as the posters are in good taste. If the locker is damaged, the student will be responsible for the cost of the cleaning.

If a student is found opening another student’s locker without permission, this will be considered a serious offense.

All lockers are property of the Western Quebec School Board and in accordance with Quebec Law, an Administrator may inspect the locker and its contents if there is reason to believe alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and/or a weapon may be concealed therein.
