NEW PROVINCIAL NO-SMOKING LAW
Please note that according to the PROVINCIAL TOBACCO ACT OF QUEBEC, CODE 2.2 (MAY 2005), "smoking is prohibited on school premises".
We are, therefore, obliged to comply with this new law and are making you aware that this must be enforced as of August 25th, 2005.
Students at Philemon Wright High School are discouraged from smoking at anytime anywhere and will be asked to consider taking part in school sponsored smoking cessation programs. If a students must smoke, students are directed to go off campus, down Daniel Johnson and cross Jumonville street.
