For those of you who registered for the Anniversary and Reunion festivities you are now also registered members of the new Philemon Wright Alumni Association.
The Alumni Association will be comprised of Philemon Wright graduates and current and former Philemon Wright faculty members. A Board of Directors heads the Alumni Association. This group of dedicated volunteers will develop exciting long-term goals activities for the Association.

The goal of the Alumni Association is to assist all former students and faculty stay in touch with each other and Philemon Wright High School. The Alumni Association is committed to maintaining ongoing communications and contact with all members and encourages continued interest and support of the activities and educational programs of the School.
Giving back to Philemon Wright by making a donation is an important way of making sure that today's students have every opportunity, both inside and outside the classroom, to reach their potential. Alumni can appreciate, better than anyone, the difference a high school education can make. The funds raised through the Philemon Wright Alumni Association will provide support to various areas such as:
- Bursaries and scholarships for post-secondary education - this could change a
student's life;
- Technological enhancements, to stay on the cutting edge; and
- School enhancements.
Last year, thanks to community contributions, Philemon Wright was able to complete the installation of TV screens in our hallways. These are used to communicate events and school news and the school was also able to add a score-clock on our football field and in our gymnasium.
A new Facebook Group has been created called Philemon Wright Alumni Association. We urge all Alumni to join. The group site will be just one venue we will use to keep you informed of upcoming events, updates, and a place to share ideas, thoughts and share photos. It does not, however, provide us with your coordinates so please complete the registration form. There is also an electronic newsletter in the works. All alumni will be invited to share news in the Alumni Newsletter (any ideas for names please forward to us) by submitting their information directly to Tracy Orange-Banville - said information may also be shared with the School to use in their Falcons Newsletter.
